PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013
Thursday, May 24 - 6:00 PM

Pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2506, notice is hereby given that the Middleburg Town Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. on the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2012-13. The hearing will be held in the Middleburg Town Office, 10 West Marshall Street. At this hearing, all interested citizens will be given an opportunity to express their views.

The Middleburg Town Council & Planning Commission will hold joint public hearings on the following items on Thursday, May 24th at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers:

Special Use Permit 12-01: Replace existing cellular antennas on the Town's water tower - 25 Stonewall Court - Sprint

Special Use Permit 10-02: Amend SUP conditions regarding emergency vehicle signalization - 910 W. Washington Street - Middleburg Volunteer Fire Department

Applications available for review in the Town Office, Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The "Put A Finger On It" Smoke Alarm Campaign offers free home safety inspections and smoke alarms to all Loudoun County residents. The program is free of charge and available to all residents with or without existing smoke alarms. If smoke alarms are found to be broken or outdated, the Department will replace them at no cost and install additional alarms when necessary. Congressman WolfCoCongressman Wolf's representative, Ms. Donna Lee Crowley, will visit the Town Hall on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Mrs. Crowley will be available to talk with constituents who need assistance or have problems of a Federal nature, such as with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, etc. Citizens are also welcome to express their opinions on matters of concern, particularly national topics or issues before the United States Congress.

Lyme Disease is epidemic in Northern Virginia with Loudoun County ranking highest in the state and third in the country.  By CDC's own estimate, Lyme disease is under-reported by a factor of 10 which means hundreds of thousands of people may be going un-treated.
